Amoura Coffee and Organic Cinnamon Buns

These hearty coffee and cinnamon buns are the perfect comfort dessert with added health benefits for any season especially autumn and winter!. They are filled with Amoura coffee which has milk chocolate, caramel and honey notes for a delicious in-depth flavour.

To make these delicious coffee and cinnamon buns follow the recipe below:
For the dough: 
  • 60g unsalted butter
  • 500g gluten free plain flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt by Organic Wonders
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant dry yeast
  • 120g organic coconut sugar by Organic Wonders
  • 240ml lukewarm water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence

For cinnamon and coffee filling:

  • 220g coconut sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp organic Ceylon cinnamon powder by Organic Wonders
  • 2 tbsp grounded Amoura Coffee beans
  • Icing  

Instructions:

For the dough:

1. Mix egg, melted butter, vanilla essence and lukewarm water

2. Mix all of the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and make a hole in the centre and add the wet ingredients. Mix until you have a dough consistency

3. let the dough rest for 1-2 hours (until it has doubled in size)

To make:

1. Dust some flour onto your kitchen counter and roll out 2mm thick dough

2. Add the melted butter on top and edges of the dough

3. Mix the coffee, coconut sugar and cinnamon and spread it out as evenly as possible

4. Start rolling it tightly

5. Cut the rolls and add them to a baking tray lined with baking paper

6. Let them rest for 30-35 mins before putting them in the oven and then pop them into the oven at 180C for 20-30 minutes

7. Add icing on top after the cinnamon and coffee buns have cooled down slightly

8. ENJOY!
